別看黃耀如老師傅八十幾歲了,就以為他老丂丂了,他可是很先進的,四五十年前就會把作品拍照,製作手冊讓顧客選樣,近年來電腦科技及網路的發達,二十幾年前也曾起心動念要引進全自動化製匾的機器來替代人工,他和大兒子(黃爸)還跑遍了全省去看機檯,後來想想因為家裡根本沒那麼大的地方擺機器,而且機器的成品太僵化了,還是手寫的有溫度,只好作罷,而事實証明這是個好決定,手工技藝可以繼續地延伸下去…

在工廠裡還是引進了適當的工業設備,像是專業的線鋸可以幫助師傅切割大字時更快速,比起一刀一鑿慢慢來,在速度上大有助益,而且 師傅好好操作仍可保留住老師傅書去的特色!

為了保留作品的樣子,現在一塊木匾做好了,黃耀如老師傅會用iPad照相起來,可以給客戶參考,所以店裡也使用Line來經營生意,這樣子在做匾額時客戶就不用來來回回地來店裡看進度,半成品透過Line也可以即時知道客戶的意見,傳統老店搭上了新科技,相得益彰。

我們團隊拜訪南輝時,每每談到一些匾額的例子時,黃媽媽和黃耀如老師傅習慣性地拿出iPad來翻找給大家看,平板電腦可不是年輕人的專屬品。另外黃媽媽這幾年也開始用Line來談生意,像美國來訂的那塊匾額就是透過Line來下單的。
由於Facebook的興起,南輝木匾也跟上了網路行銷的風潮,由黃媽媽經營了一個FB粉絲頁,經常會PO上店裡的作品,現在可是全世界都能看到南輝木匾雕刻處喔!
