我們的「地方社區」是
臺南是一個文化古都，而臺南市忠義國小位於中西區「全台首學」一級古蹟孔子廟旁，四周古蹟林立，校內有兩處市定古蹟，更是一所與古蹟並存，極富人文氣息健康友善的特色小學；中西區有許多傳統產業，包括雕刻、刺繡、木匾、傳統美食等，近年來市府文化局積極地對各項傳統藝術進行典藏保存，並加以傳承、推廣和創新，凸顯古都的存在價值。 在這個有濃厚文化氣息的區域，伴隨古蹟的，是很多的傳統技藝工作者，他們默默地為在地文化做出傳承，隨著時代的演進，師傅們大都垂垂老已，居住在此的我們，除了追求現代化之外，更應重視我們周遭的文化資產，熟悉並傳承下去。  

2.Local community description：
Tainan is a cultural ancient capital, and Tainan City’s Zhongyi Elementary School is located beside the Confucius Temple at the first level of the “The First School in Taiwan” in the Central and Western District. It is surrounded by ancient monuments. There are two historical monuments in the school. It is also a coexistence with the ancient monuments. A special elementary school with a healthy and friendly atmosphere; there are many traditional industries in the Central and Western District, including carving, embroidery, hibiscus, traditional cuisine, etc. In recent years, the Municipal Bureau of Culture has actively preserved various traditional art, and passed it on, promoted and innovated , highlighting the existence value of the ancient capital. In this area with strong cultural atmosphere, along with the ancient monuments, there are many traditional craftsmen who silently make inheritance for the local culture. With the evolution of the times, the masters are mostly hanged and live here. In addition to pursuing modernization, we should pay more attention to the cultural assets around us, familiar and pass on.

3.我們的專題研究計畫概要：


「我要做到100歲……」高齡的木匾大師談笑風生，涵蓋書法雕刻的傳統美學工藝，卻因時代變遷而列入日落產業……。府城木匾工藝大師黃耀如，超過六十年的木匾製作生涯，以一塊塊的匾額為載體，或宗教，或文創，展現出驚人的傳統工藝精神，儘管工序複雜耗時繁瑣，但耀如老師傅以一把毛筆揮立毫，不管廟裡匾額或工商行業需求，皆呈現當代的多樣風情，從當中更流露他認真生活的人生態度，生性低調的他，創作作品遍及海內外，卻鮮少人知道真正的作者，我們深入探訪黃耀如老師傅的故事與作品，了解他認真工作及豁達的人生觀，精細的匾額作品呈現獨特的工藝美學，黃耀如老師傅的作品讓最挑剔的客戶也滿意，隱藏在台南小巷中的工坊散發出文化風采，在他佝僂的身軀裡有著巨人般的堅定意志，匾額工藝在他佈滿傷痕的手中不斷地極緻化。 

Mr. Huang Yao-Ru had renovated the most famous four plaques in Tainan.He says:「I want to continue working until I am 100 years old………」There is special significance of plaque to the Chinese,for example:the temple events, and new buildings.He is eighty-six years old now, but still works everyday.His work experience has been 63 years.There are many processes for making a plaque. First,write the calligraphy of large and small characters. And then choose the suitable wood. The arrange the layout is also a matter of learning . Finally, get it into shape,paint and gild. The master’s twisted hand is covered with scars, which is caused by his carvings twisted over the years. From the interview,we learn the craft of plaque. What the most valuable thing is that we learn from Mr. Huang’s optimistic lifestyle. To be succeed, no pain no gain. Action speaks louder than words. In recent years,due to the development of computer technology , the craft of plaque fades away .Young people don’t want to learn the craft. So we need more people to engage in this tradition.We hope his craft could be substained.

4.我們的網際網路環境：


我們學校的網路是以大台南科技的光纖上網，頻寬為300M的連線環境。電腦教室有40部學生電腦都可以隨時上網，其他設備有掃描器供學生掃描資料，以及雷射印表機供列印。班級教室中，各班皆有一台可供上網的電腦，可讓參賽學生使用，而電腦教室還提供給每一參賽隊伍一部筆記型電腦。在資料的儲存及取用方面，電腦教室NAS伺服器的一區讓同學暫存大量的資料並架設一部Ubuntu伺服器供每位學生做網頁練習，也作為放置同學們交換資料的網頁空間。本隊組員學生家中皆有電腦，皆可上網。因此學生除了在校其間進行網路搜尋外，亦可利用家中電腦進行資料的搜尋。
4.School Internet service：
The network of our school is a large Tainan optical fiber network technology, the bandwidth of 300M connection environment. Computer classrooms have 40 computers are available online, other devices have scanners for student scanning information, and laser printers for printing. Classrooms, each class has a computer with Internet access, allowing students to use, and the computer classroom is also available to each team a laptop. In terms of data storage and access, a classroom in the NAS classroom of the computer classroom allows students to temporarily save a large amount of information and set up an ubuntu server for each student to do webpage exercises, and also serve as a web space for students to exchange information. We set up an Ubuntu server for each student to do web exercises, as well as a web space for students to exchange information.Nine students in the Corner Kids Group have computers at home, all available online. As a result, students can also use their home computers to search for information in addition to online search during their school days.

5.我們所遭遇和克服的難題：
我們進行這次的專題研究學習時，遭遇了許多問題，因為組員橫跨五～六年級，在學校的時間只有中午的時間可以當成共同的時間，雖然有幾位學生資訊小組的成員，但是對於製作網頁這件事，我們的能力仍顯不足，而且我們本次的研究對象「黃耀如老師」是一位從不休息的傳統藝術家，我們很難找到他有空接受團隊專訪的機會，團隊成員得運用星期假日時間進行研究，我們還要請老師教我們如何與年紀很大的老者對話，以免在訪問過程中講了不恰當的話，除此之外，還有語言問題，老師傅都是講閩南語，而我們團隊中有幾位組員聽不太懂，他們必須更加專心才能克服。

We have many difficult problems , such as:
Time:Our research object is an artist who works very hard everyday.He is always very busy.
So it is difficult to find a suitable time to meeting with him.But we still find ways to interview
him on Sunday.

Language: Mr. Huang uses native language to communicate. Some of our members can not understand what he say. So we try to use Mandarin to talk , and we try our best to speak as slowly as possible.

為了解決這些問題，我們小組每週進行集會，感謝老師幫大家安排進度，提示大家該進行的學問方向，我們利用平常日中午的時間到電腦教室練習，老師還利用假日的時間開課教大家電腦技能，我們利用三個月的時間，充實地學習專題研究及電腦技能，今年的寒假除了過年那幾天外，我們大部份時間都在學校「努力」，舊曆年的連假一結束，我們天天到學校報到，大家一起把搜集資料，分工彙整在自己的網站。

Computer skills: We have insufficient computer skills. So We practice in the computer classroom at noon(12:45~13:40) during Monday to Friday , teachers also teach us computer skills by holiday. We spent three months studying enrichment in thematic studies and computer skills. During the winter vacation this year, apart from the New Year holidays, we spent most of our school days trying our best to end the holiday in the old calendar year. Report to the school, everyone together to collect information, division of labor in their own website.

除了研究對象黃耀如老師傅及他的媳婦黃媽媽大力的支援外，感謝我們學校三位指導老師的辛苦，他們花了很多的時間來教大家，讓我們可以順利地進行這次的研究…

Special thanks: In addition to the support of the research object Mr. Huang Yao-Ru and the wife of his son. Thank you for the hard work of the three instructors of our school. They spent a lot of time to teach everyone so much that we can conduct this research smoothly...

6.心得箴言：
平常我們都坐在課堂裡上課，難免流於「紙上談兵」，一開始，我們對於周遭的事物及藝術並不在意，在學周遭經常抬頭就常見的匾額，我們也一直覺得很漂亮呀！直到這次的研究，我們大開眼界，真的「高手在民間」，認識了文化局也收錄不到的木匾工藝大師，我們對國寶級師傅的人生觀及工藝技術有了深入了解，讓我們對傳統藝術工作者多了幾分尊敬，在我們動手學習貼金後，也深深體認到是那麼的不簡單，比起只用嘴巴說…Just Do It應是我們最大的體會。
還有平常看老師在台上講講話好像沒什麼困難，想不到輪到我們自己上台做簡報時，臨場卻是緊張得半死而且錯誤百出，「臺上一分鐘，臺下十年功」的體悟也在我們的心田…

Normally we all sit in class and inevitably flow into " talk about stratagems on paper -- empty talk."In the beginning, we feel that the common plaque in our life is nothing remarkable.After this special study, we have an eye-opener about plaque.We have a deep understanding of the national treasure master's outlook on life and craftsmanship, so that we have a little more respect for traditional art workers.
In our hands, after the piece of work, I also deeply understand that it is so simple and simple to say than just mouth. ... "Actions speak louder than words" and "Just Do It "should be our greatest experience.
We are worrying and nervous about our report. Our teacher did several exercises to help us and always encourage us."one minutes on the stage need ten years of practise off the stage "understanding is also in our hearts ...
Most of us had a special teacher that had a lasting effect on us, either for the knowledge they imparted, the wisdom they shared, the self-confidence he inspired, or all of the above. So we want to thank many teachers who help us to complete this special study about the Grandmaster of plaque carving in Tainan, Mr. Huang Yao-Ru.

看似容易的事情，事實上都不只是表面那樣，得親自試試才知道…
